Benefits of selling your scrap metal to us.

We're always highly competitive. We're always straight in our dealings. We always give open friendly advice.

Already had a price from another company? Check us out – we’ll certainly match what you have been quoted and do our level best to beat it.

  • Best prices, same-day instant online payment (ID photo needed before payment can be made to an individual)
  • One of the cleanest, tidiest sites in the business
  • Clear signage
  • Newly re-surfaced roadways continuously swept
  • Separate safe and clean visitor parking
  • Full documentation with every transaction
  • Weigh scales open and visible to customers unlike some other sites
  • Internal unloading for most non-ferrous customers in bad weather
  • Openness and transparency in all transactions

We purchase almost any scrap metal that can be recycled profitably and legally: good quality heavy material, light iron, any new production out turns from engineering works, demolition material from rebar to constructional steel, redundant machinery of any kind.

We accept material from members of the public, tradesmen or PLCs. No matter whether you are just clearing the garage at home or have steel swarf that needs collecting on a regular basis, get in touch for the best possible price.

Please note that very small amounts of scrap may not be worth payment as the administration costs far outweigh their value. We do have a bin where people can deposit low value items. For more information refer to FAQs.

Materials and contiminants not accepted

  • Storage tanks without proof of having been depolluted, this includes oil central heating tanks
  • Beer barrels of any type
  • Gas, oxygen or any other sealed cylinders-they are potential killers in the recycling stream
  • Tyres of any kind
  • Lithium batteries
  • Wood or plastic
  • Machinery containing oil or other fluids
  • Loads heavily contaminated with dirt or other non-metallic material - we pay for scrap metal
  • Items containing asbestos
  • Fridges or freezers of any type
  • Vehicles that haven't been depolluted
  • Plastic coated chain link fencing
Where otherwise good quality material has a large amount of non-metallic material, such as wood or plastic attached a deduction will be made to cover the cost of removal and disposal. This is industry standard practice and frequently involves making a deduction equal to double the actual weight of the contaminant involved. In some instances we may require the customer to remove the waste from our site and we will withhold payment until the material has been removed.

Outside the Manchester/Yorkshire areas and only have a small amount of scrap? Much as we’d like you as a customer, with the cost of transport so high these days you’ll probably be better talking to dealer nearer to home.
